This past fall we had the pleasure of riding the Whole Enchilada Trail in Moab, Utah. Not for the first time, but it was a memorable day. Instead of bombing down the entire trail in a few hours like we normally do, we spent the whole day out there riding fun lines, taking photos, and really absorbing the scenery. The crew was Nicole, Evan, Dave, and myself. Nicole was riding the Sesh, Evan was on the Fatillac, and I was on the Lunchbox. Dave was on some weird Chinese made bike, but that’s okay. We still like him.

The weather was perfect. About 70 degrees and sunny and we were basically the only people on the trail. We started a bit on the late side, so the rest of the folks got out ahead of us. It was really a special day to have this trail to ourselves. This was the first time I had done this ride on the Lunchbox, which is really what Devin designed this bike for. I absolutely loved the geometry and the new rear suspension design. It felt so at home on this trail. One thing I really notice with the Lunchbox is how stable it is when landing bigger drops. I also really like the ability to maneuver around the tighter lines. This bike really has the best of both climbing and descending characteristics.

Nicole was riding the Sesh and had one of the best days of mountain biking she’s ever had. She was riding lines that she has never been able to ride before, and felt much more confident. Evan loved the Fatillac and was hitting drops left and right. Not bad for a kayaker.

As we started our descent into the last canyon, the sun began to go behind the canyon walls and the temperature dropped greatly. We spent some time making our way through all of the technical moves in the lower canyon, getting photos and riding lines more than once. When we arrived at the Colorado river, we felt like we really had a full day of great riding and hanging out with friends. I love this trail.
