Recon

The Lenz Sport Recon Ski Bike brings the proven riding style of our Launch SkiBike into a lighter, more streamlined package. Designed as an exceptional all-around SkiBike, the Recon is built for a wide range of riders and terrain. Its lightweight frame and SecuREST system make chairlift loading easy, while its balanced design inspires confidence on groomers, moguls, trees, powder, freestyle terrain, and in the backcountry.

If you are looking for a high-performance all-around SkiBike at an exceptional value, the Recon delivers. It is capable enough to impress experienced skibikers while helping intermediate riders build skills and ride with greater confidence.

The Recon features a lightweight aluminum frame with proprietary Lenz Sport geometry shaped by more than 20 years of SkiBike riding and development. Each bike is assembled in our Colorado factory using quality components that are hand-selected for every rider after the order is placed. Recon SkiBike frames are kept in stock, allowing us to assemble each bike in-house with the attention to detail that defines Lenz Sport.

What is the difference between the Launch and the Recon?

If we were to compare them to mountain bikes, the Launch is like a dedicated downhill bike, while the Recon is more like a long-travel enduro bike. The Recon will go anywhere the Launch will go and handle nearly anything the Launch can handle. Its lighter, simpler design does not limit its capability. The Recon remains a highly capable all-mountain SkiBike built for riders who want versatility without compromise.

New to skibiking?

If you are new to skibiking or want to improve your riding skills, visit our How to ride a SkiBike page. There is a lot of good information on both the SkiBike FAQ page as well as the Ski Bike Assembly & Good Info page.

*All Lenz Sport SkiBike frames are 100% handmade. We continuously refine our designs rather than waiting for a new model year to introduce improvements. That means each batch of Recon frames may vary slightly from the last, and your frame may look a little different from the images shown on our website. We never move backward in design. We are always improving our products through ongoing design, building, and real-world riding experience.
