Description

The Zig Zags are a true powder ski for SkiBikes.  One word to describe these skis is “Fast”.  The Zig Zag skis have a front and rear specific design where the rear ski is shorter with a sharper curl up on the tip, and the front ski is longer in the tip with an early rise shape  that enables you to float in the deepest powder and charge it in the crud without fear of being sent over the handlebars. Both skis are slightly rockered for a more compliant ride in deep snow.  This skibike ski set allows you to glide in the powder with speed and float you enough that you can skid your skis around against the deep snow so you can make your turns come around easier to control your speed in tight situations and on steep slopes.

SPECS: Weight: 7.27 lbs. Front ski length is 115cm with a 20 meter continuous sidecut radius. Rear ski is 100cm with a 20 meter sidecut radius.
Front Tip width 202mm, waist 163mm, and tail 184mm. The ski mount bolt pattern is 50x100mm 4-hole using 6mm bolts. Sold as a pair.

 ***NOTE***  When mounting the skis, the tip of the rear ski has “Zig”; the tail of the front ski has “Zag”.  The “Zig Zag” should meet in the center.  The “Lenz” should be at the front and rear of the bike. *For best performance, we STRONGLY recommend you orient the knucklehead tower (the block looking thing that the front ski attaches to and the fork axle goes through) so that the angled side is facing FORWARD and the flat side is facing backward.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us for help or instructions on how to do this.  The “turning the knucklehead around” video can be found on the “How To” videos for Lenz Skibikes page.  If you order your bike with these skis, it should come assembled with the knucklehead in the correct orientation.
