Recon

***TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR SKIBIKE MODELS, PLEASE LOOK ON THE SkiBike FAQ PAGE, 7TH BLOCK DOWN*** The Lenz Sport Recon Ski Bike takes the riding style of our famous Launch skibike into a lighter weight package. The Recon is an exceptional all-around ski bike for all riders. The lightweight frame and SecuREST system make loading the chairlift easy for anyone. This Skibike is perfect for riding groomers, moguls, trees, powder, freestyle terrain, and back country. If you are looking for the best all-around SkiBike for an exceptional value, this is the SkiBike for you. The Recon will impress the best Skibikers and also bring an intermediate rider up to the next level.  The Recon features a lightweight aluminum frame with proprietary Lenz Sport geometry, built from over 20 years of riding ski bikes. Assembled right here in our Colorado factory with quality components, the Recon is the SkiBike for the masses. Get yours ordered now. Recon SkiBike frames are kept in stock, and components are hand picked for each customer and assembled in-house after the order is placed. What’s the difference between the Launch and Recon?  If we were to speak in terms of mountain bikes, the Launch is like a dedicated downhill bike whereas the Recon is a long travel Enduro.  The Recon will do anything and go anywhere the Launch will go.  Don’t be fooled by the “lighter and simpler”…the Recon is still a very capable all-mountain bike.  You won’t be disappointed. If the rider is new to skibiking or wants to improve their riding skill set, check out our How to ride a SkiBike page.  There is a lot of good information on both the SkiBike FAQ page as well as the Ski Bike Assembly & Good Info page. *All Lenz Sport Ski Bike frames are 100% handmade. We are constantly improving our designs. We don’t wait for the next model year to introduce improvements. Our design philosophy is to make incremental improvements as we design them. This means that every batch of Recon frames might be a little different from the last one. Your frame may look slightly different than what you see on the the images we have on the website. One thing we never do is go backwards in design. We are always moving forward and making our products better. We design, build, and ride our bikes regularly, so the improvement ideas are constantly brewing and adapting into production.
