If your Lenz frame has a tapered head tube, your head tube has an upper inside diameter of 44mm and a lower inside diameter of 49mm. The headset specs should be as follows

We fabricate every single part of the frame in house down to the bolts, dropouts, pivots, and cable guides. The manufacturing process is very unique and can vary in the amount of time it takes. By ordering this frame, you are getting something special and different from what any other company in the world can offer. We greatly appreciate your patience throughout the process and we look forward to delivering your bike. We cannot provide constant updates, but we will let you know when your frame is almost ready for power coating so we can finalize your custom color choice. Until then, let us know if you want to make any changes to your component choices or frame options.
Current model Lenz Behemoth, Mammoth, and Lunchbox frames with the 16.5″ chain stay length work best with a Sram, Praxis, or Raceface crank with a 26-30t ZERO offset chainring.

The Mammoth can be converted from 110mm rear travel to 140mm rear travel by ordering replacement control arms (rocker arms)
The Behemoth can be reduced from 140mm travel to 110mm rear travel by ordering replacement rocker arms.
The Lunchbox and Sesh cannot be converted to a different rear travel.
If you have a Fatillac originally built with 4″ (110mm) or 5″ (140mm) rear travel, you can convert between 4 and 5 inch by swapping rocker arms. If you order with 6″ travel, you cannot change it. Go big!
The Behemoth, Mammoth, and Lunchbox are designed for tires ranging from 2.4″ to 3.0″. Any tires in that range work great. You can order any of these bikes as a 27.5 or 29er or a mullet (27.5 rear and 29 front)
The Fatillac is a little more complicated. With a 27.5x50mm wide rim, the max tire size is 27.5×3.8″ . With a 65-80mm wide rim, a 27.5×4.0″ is the max tire size. The Fatillac will also work with a 29×2.4″ to 3.0″ tire.
The Sesh works with a 27.5×2.4″ to 3.0″ tire.
No. You can use anything from 2.4″ to 3.0″ on our “plus” bikes. We love plus tires, and they make a lot of sense for the trails we have here on the front range and western slope of colorado. That doesn’t mean they are the best thing for every person in every situation. Our bikes ride great with any size mountain bike tire. The 2.5″ range is great for fast smooth flowy trails since it lowers the bottom bracket a bit and you run the tires firmer for more speed. The 2.6″ to 2.8″ range is great for enduro style riding and if there is mud. The 3.0″ tires will dominate on chunky technical trails or those that are very rutted out and rugged.

The answer is a little more complicated than a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Here’s why:
In order to repaint a frame, it has to be stripped down to raw aluminum first. That is not something that we are set up to do, and it would be very expensive to have us do it. We aren’t saying that it can’t be done, it’s just something that we don’t do in our shop. However, there are a lot of places that will strip your frame if it is disassembled and all of the bearings and bushings are pressed out.
With that said, once your frame is stripped we should be able to re-powder coat it and re-assemble it for you. It will still cost a little bit as we will have to prep it before powder coating, but it won’t be as bad as if we had to strip it as well. Your best time to do this is in the summer when we are not in peak skibike season; even then we would suggest allowing several weeks for us to get it done.
