This last weekend we were able to take part in a awesome event hosted my Kendall Mtn Resort in Silverton, Colorado.
LenzSport Skibikes was able to partner with Pedal the Peaks Silverton and provide 13 Skibikes for a team of 15 youth mountain bikers from the Durango Devo Flyers, an advanced gravity oriented race/freeride team that is part of the nations largest non-profit youth mountain biking organization!
We were able to share our lesson progression for a safe and confidence inspiring first experience on a Skibike, by quickly giving them the ability to stop, make controlled turns and properly load/unload the lift they were so fast to figure out the rest it was truly impressive to watch!
It is events like these that we hope can inspire a new generation of skibikers to come join our exciting and inclusive sport! Head coach Rob Nichols had only one things to say after many of the the kids who took part in the demo day have reached out for more information regarding skibikes “The Flyers love bikes more then anything I can think of, we have always had a huge gap in our season during the winter, but no more. At the Flyers we all ride together, now we slide together!!!”
